Created by two midwives who wanted more.

We are Gemma and Niki.

Two midwives who have spent years working with women through pregnancy, birth and beyond. We have seen what good care can do. We have also seen the gaps. The questions that never get answered, the bodies that do not get checked and the women left wondering what on earth just happened.

So we brought our experience together.

Birth preparation, pelvic health and postnatal recovery. All connected, just as they should be.

DIFFERENT EXPERTISE. SHARED PHILOSOPHY.

We believe women deserve more than a checklist of things to pack in their hospital bag.

They deserve knowledge, choice, honest conversations and support that continues after the baby arrives.

That is why we created Birth, Body + Beyond Club.

The Midwives Behind BBB

Gemma Clifford | The Alternative Midwife

Midwife. Birth educator. Birth trauma practitioner.

Gemma has spent years working across maternity services, from community and home birth to birth centres, leadership and trauma-informed care. She is a big believer in women understanding what is happening to their bodies and having a voice in the care they receive.

She loves talking about birth. The physiology, the hormones, the choices, the unexpected turns and the stories women carry long after it is over.

Her approach is honest, practical and never about telling women how they should give birth. She wants women and their partners to understand their options, ask questions and feel confident navigating whatever birth brings.

Her work also extends beyond the birth itself, offering space to talk through experiences, piece together what happened and make sense of the moments that can stay with us long afterwards.

For Gemma, good birth preparation is not about achieving a particular kind of birth. It is about knowledge, confidence, choice and feeling supported through the whole experience.

Niki Finney | With Woman Clinic

Midwife. Pelvic health specialist. Mummy MOT Practitioner.

With over 20 years' experience caring for women, working across midwifery, fertility care and as a certified Mummy MOT Practitioner, Niki understands the profound changes women's bodies go through. She brings the expertise that so often gets left out of traditional birth preparation: your pelvic floor, your changing body and what recovery actually involves.

Her work connects pregnancy, birth and postnatal health, helping women understand their bodies and feel more confident navigating the changes that come with becoming a parent.

From pelvic floor health and perineal preparation to caesarean recovery and postnatal assessment, Niki makes conversations that can sometimes feel awkward completely normal.

She believes women deserve to know what is normal, what might need extra attention and when to ask for support. Her approach is warm, down to earth and refreshingly straightforward.

No embarrassing questions, no unnecessary medical jargon. Just honest conversations, practical advice and expert support for the body doing all the hard work.
